Our take on Inhabit
Players seeking a broad range of gameplay systems may bounce off when they encounter the chore-based puzzle loop. Progress centers on completing daily activities, tidying the home, and spending time with friends, so the game may hit a wall for anyone expecting a more varied or demanding structure.
What is Inhabit?
Inhabit is a short, open-ended slice-of-life puzzle game set in and around a neglected home.
Players work through daily activities, with each chore represented by a different set of puzzles. Completing chores lets them clear up the house and unlock secrets. As puzzles are completed, chore-related personalities appear as friends who can be invited to hang out anywhere in the house. Players can also explore the nearby area, where they will find objects, animals, and locations to interact with, including a dog to pet. In the backyard, players can spend time with friends amid pixel art and an acoustic soundtrack by Tom Dron. The music and ambience change as the day passes.
