Infection Maze is a first-person zombie shooter set in a Japanese hospital and its underground areas.
After receiving a message from his nurse sister Saki, the protagonist enters the clinic to find her among people who have gone crazy. Players move through randomly generated, maze-like maps, using guns and other weapons against zombies. Ammunition is limited, so improvised attacks such as a deck brush or thrown bottles can conserve bullets. Stealth is part of the play: players choose which enemies to fight, hide from others, and use a leaning movement to stay concealed. Random map generation changes the hospital layout for later runs after the game has been cleared.
