Our take on IIslands of War
Rather than centering on a character moving through conventional levels, this roguelike makes the floating island itself the main build, equipment platform, and combat unit. Exploration is organized around generated islands and realms, while victory can come from targeting different structural systems.
What is IIslands of War?
This 2D roguelike combines island construction, exploration, and combat.
Players assemble floating islands from blocks and attachments, then equip them with weapons, shields, reactors, batteries, and other modules. An editor assigns modules to configurable keybinds. Travel across realms containing factions, cities, pirates, merchants, abandoned areas, and procedurally generated encounters. Combat offers different destruction targets: remove an enemy island’s floatrons or destroy its warp core. More than 150 items can be collected, combined through forging, and improved with technology. Items may have more than 50 properties and behaviors, including effects that change damage penetration, health, or cooldowns.
