Our take on IDUN - Frontline Survival
Rather than keeping defenses in fixed positions, IDUN allows units to move during combat. It also combines tower-defense elements with real-time strategy, then varies the battlefield through destruction and roguelite encounters.
What is IDUN - Frontline Survival?
IDUN is a solo real-time strategy title focused on defending against waves of aliens through a story-driven space campaign.
Collect materials, research upgrades, and deploy movable turrets, armored vehicles, barriers, soldiers, and weapons fired from orbit. Units may be shifted while combat is underway, so defensive layouts can adapt to changing attacks. Objectives range from securing a resource hub and accompanying nuclear transports to safeguarding ore carts. Battles alter the landscape, with wreckage and fallen enemies forming fresh hazards and strategic possibilities. An ongoing research system grants access to more defenses, veteran fighters, and battlefield equipment. Roguelite systems introduce different encounters and challenges across attempts. Additional modes, voiced narrative scenes, and visual and control settings are included.
