Our take on Idle Planets
Rather than centering on battles, quests, or tactical turns, this strategy game makes production automation the main structure. Progress comes from mining, upgrades, expansion, random production events, and ascension, with leaderboards framing the long-term objective.
What is Idle Planets?
Idle Planets is an incremental strategy game about mining planets and automating production across the cosmos.
Players extract minerals, increase wealth, unlock and upgrade six planets, and expand into a second galaxy with five additional planets. Progress includes more than 700 upgrades, permanent bonuses from ascension, random events that increase production, and alien helpers with individual effects. The expanded galaxy adds new asteroid types, including Spam Rock and Discount Rock, along with broader ascension and automation systems. Five leaderboards track progress among competing miners. The game combines resource extraction, automated production, planetary expansion, upgrade progression, and repeated ascension across its two-galaxy structure.
