We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Idle-game players who prefer watching battles unfold over issuing commands during combat
- Strategy players who enjoy balancing several resource types while upgrading a fleet
- Players interested in long-term progression through distinct jobs and shared prestige bonuses
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct control over individual ships during battles may find the automatic combat limiting.
- Players who prefer a short, self-contained campaign may find the ongoing resource and upgrade progression repetitive.
- Players looking for tactical squad combat or turn-based battles may prefer a different combat structure.
Our take on Idle Armada
Automatic combat keeps attention on resource growth and upgrades, but gives up the moment-to-moment control found in games built around issuing battlefield commands. The job system adds different play styles, though the core loop remains centered on fleet progression and resource management.
What is Idle Armada?
Idle Armada is an idle game in which a pixel-art fleet fights in real time without direct control of each battle.
Players build an economy, manage resources including food, metal, crystal, gold, rations, alloy, and circuits, and upgrade ships and buildings. Defeated enemies leave loot that can be collected to support the fleet. Ships include Gulls, Armored Cruisers, Bombers, and Guards. After progressing far enough, players can enter a multi-layer job system. Each job has a different play style and offers prestige bonuses that apply across all jobs. The game has no ads or in-app purchases.
