What is 异常 | Exception?
Exception is a single-player game about programming AI for units in a virtual world.
The player takes the role of operator 159, who oversees the system, and programs different unit types to defeat enemies across levels. A graphical programming language provides the instructions; once a program is ready, the units carry it out automatically in battle. The player cannot intervene after combat begins. To change instructions, the level must be restarted, so progress involves testing and debugging programs, then trying again after failure. The story follows an exception discovered in the system and a request made by the program, leading toward a secret beneath the cyber world.
