Our take on IDIOT
The bounce point is the island boundary: the surrounding fog and restrictions on movement across the water keep the setting closed off. Players expecting boat assembly to open up travel beyond Yaissor may hit that limit, since the authorities suppress movement on the water.
What is IDIOT?
Play as a remote quality worker on Yaissor, an island enclosed by fog and controlled by the state.
Activities include checking a mailbox that receives spam, playing computer mini-games to earn planets, receiving parcels, and assembling a boat at the berths. An empatoscope sends the character to other spaces to merge with a virtual world. A vending machine provides sparkling water, while a broken payphone cannot reach anywhere. Food cartridges arrive by mail and supply a printer that synthesizes food. Seasons can be switched between summer and fall, and night comes when the character chooses to go to bed. Authorities suppress movement on the water and warn citizens against leaving the island.
