Our take on I Am Two People
The bounce point arrives early for players expecting an RPG combat loop: the game explicitly centers on reading and story interactions instead. Others may hit the wall at the frequent shifts into short mini-games, which serve the narrative rather than building a standalone action system.
What is I Am Two People?
A roughly three-hour visual novel follows one person living through two bodies: disciplined student Niu Tianci and freedom-seeking Murong Dun.
Both characters attend the same high school class while concealing that they are the same person. Players control the two figures on opposite sides of the screen, guiding actions and conversations while reading inner monologue at the bottom. The story covers academic pressure, emotional confusion, rebellion, and the struggle to understand oneself in a small Chinese town more than a decade ago. Around 10 mini-games and smaller interactions support the narrative, including side-scrolling adventure, corridor parkour, and classroom shooting sequences. The game contains extensive text, swear words, underage rebellion, and mental illness themes.
