Our take on See You Later
The bounce point arrives as soon as players discover that the story offers no choices. Anyone expecting route planning, dialogue control, or alternate endings will have no system to engage with; the remaining experience is a fixed visual novel built around its writing, art, music, and voice work.
What is See You Later?
This choice-free visual novel follows Yu Huan Yin and Gui Yan through a relationship shaped by affectionate memories and regret.
Its story moves through dreams, remembered places, shared routines, and the difficulty of saying goodbye. The game presents the narrative with written scenes, songs, illustrated character art, and fully voiced characters. More than thirty illustrations accompany the story, while a CG Appreciation Mode provides a separate way to view its artwork. The narrative also introduces the Dream Builders, Bailiwick, Creamy Ginger Covered Rice, and the theory that one character may have less than six months to live. There are no player decisions, so the experience follows a fixed story from beginning to end.
