Hunkenstein puts players in the role of a town’s unauthorized pest remover, working in a setting where mad science has turned familiar film creatures into everyday nuisances.
Physics-driven foes include lycanthropes, bloodsuckers, jesters, wrapped corpses, the undead, and toy-like killers. Players use traps and weapons mounted on a pickup, such as adhesive devices, cages, nets, magnets, fuel cans, anvil launchers, a grinder, and a pitchfork. Work also involves looking into disappearances and other eerie cases, breaking into competing scientists’ labs, and talking with eccentric local residents. Romance and character development are included; progression can increase speed, strength, and stature. Supernatural attackers continue to threaten the character, including at home.
