Our take on Huge Jaws
The growth loop centers on hunting weaker fish while avoiding stronger predators. That focus on survival and gaining mass leaves little room for other kinds of progression or activity.
What is Huge Jaws?
Huge Jaws is a shark simulation set in a colorful underwater world with a variety of fish.
The game begins with the player as a shark that hunts fish weaker than itself; eating them increases its mass as it moves toward the top of the food chain. Stronger fish can eat the shark, and some fish swim very fast. The central loop is to choose prey, survive encounters, and grow. The game presents marine life as a struggle between larger predators and smaller creatures, and follows the shark from the beginning to the end of its life. It uses 3D graphics and includes music.
