Our take on Horde: Zombie Outbreak
The defining mechanic is role reversal: the player controls the zombie side, and every infected human adds to the growing horde. Destruction is tied to progression as well, since damaging parts of the city can extend the available time during conquest stages.
What is Horde: Zombie Outbreak?
Horde: Zombie Outbreak casts the player as a zombie horde spreading through cities by infecting humans, who then join the group.
Civilians may run away, fight back, or use vehicles against the zombies, while buildings, cars, homes, and landmarks can be destroyed. Conquest mode presents increasingly difficult zones with objectives to complete under time pressure. Tactical play includes using zombie abilities, damaging the environment to gain more time, and protecting the horde from resistance forces. Endless mode removes the time limit and focuses on surviving a city rampage for as long as possible, with leaderboards for competition. Several zombie types are available, each with different active abilities.
