Our take on Hollow
The store presentation spends substantial space on the station’s promotional backstory and psychological framing, while the playable structure is summarized more briefly as facility exploration, puzzles, and rapid gun combat.
What is Hollow?
Hollow follows a pilot who wakes in an emergency capsule near Shakhter-One, a space-mining facility orbiting Jupiter.
With only an autopilot docking code and no memory of the escape, the pilot returns to the damaged station, where the crew has vanished and power systems are failing. Progress combines exploration, environmental interaction, puzzle solving, and rapid gun combat. The investigation gradually reveals what happened aboard the facility and exposes the protagonist’s history, fears, and identity. Players can confront dangers directly or use parts of the environment to their advantage while searching the station for answers. The story centers on a mining operation supplying resources to Earth and the psychological effects of the events taking place aboard it.
