Our take on Hogs of War
The small-army structure keeps the focus on individual squad members and promotions, but limits the scale of battlefield management. Its comic presentation and hog characters also trade serious military tone for satire.
What is Hogs of War?
Control a compact hog squad through turn-based combat in a setting inspired by the First World War.
The solo campaign has 25 stages spread across six islands and 25 regions; each victory brings new skills and access to more weapons. Promote squad members from Grunt to Officer and assign them to one of four roles: Heavy Weapons, Medic, Espionage, or Engineer. Choose from 40 weapons and vehicles, such as long-range rifles, rocket launchers, explosive traps, powered flight gear, multi-explosive grenades, and tanks.
Six armies draw on Great Britain, Russia, Germany, Japan, France, and the USA. Beyond the career-style single-player campaign, online matches support up to four participants. The game uses three-dimensional graphics and features Rik Mayall in narration and character voices.
