The defining structure is a four-survivor team moving between procedurally generated skyscrapers, gathering materials by day and managing dreamer threats after dark.
What is Highrisers?
Highrisers is an urban survival RPG set in a ruined metropolis occupied by dreamers, mutated people trapped in an eternal sleep.
A group of four survivors searches skyscrapers for food, tools, spare parts, and other materials while preparing for attacks after dark. Resources can be used to create weapons, barricades, workbenches, machinery, medicine, and food. Research unlocks further recipes and abilities, but the team cannot learn everything, so skills must be selected carefully. Each survivor has an individual skill tree, and combining their abilities supports different approaches to each building. Procedurally generated floors provide varied layouts, loot, and hazards. The group must also repair and improve a damaged helicopter to travel between rooftops and find a way out.
