Our take on HexDefense
Equipped items are permanent assignments: once placed on a tower, they cannot be removed. That restriction makes each item choice a lasting part of the defense setup.
What is HexDefense?
HexDefense is a roguelike tower defense game about protecting a city from an ongoing enemy assault.
Build towers and spend money from defeated enemies to upgrade them. Scouting toward the direction of attacks can reveal where enemies are coming from and provide warning about dangerous threats. Towers can also be equipped with items found while exploring the world. Upgrades raise tower damage but become increasingly expensive, while items can offer another way to strengthen defenses. Each tower has a limited number of item slots, and equipped items cannot be taken off. The game emphasizes continuous action with little downtime as the assault continues.
How HexDefense plays
- 01Enemy-source scouting
- Explore toward incoming attacks to locate their origin and get warning of especially dangerous enemies.
- 02Irremovable tower items
- Items found while exploring can be equipped to towers, but cannot be removed once assigned.
- 03Costly tower upgrades
- Defeated enemies provide upgrade money, and tower improvements become more expensive as they are developed.
