Our take on Herolike
Players seeking a fixed route may bounce off the randomized map, while those who dislike repeat-run progression may stop at the persistent town and cross-game statistics systems. The many item types, hazards, classes, and enemy patterns add further decisions.
What is Herolike?
Herolike combines hack-and-slash combat with roguelike progression.
Each run uses a randomized map where path choices determine the route through fights, artifact defenses, boss encounters, and choice-based missions. Five classes—Guardian, Barbarian, Hunter, Shaman, and Trickster—offer different hero options, while 30 enemies, including three bosses, have distinct strengths and weaknesses. Seven locations span themed biomes and dungeons, with hazards such as cold, darkness, mines, and fog adding environmental threats. Runs provide equipment, power-ups, treasure, and purchasable items including weapons, shields, rune stones, potions, and explosives. A town can be expanded with eight buildings that persist between runs, and statistics track both the current game and the full play history.
