Our take on Heroes of the Three Kingdoms 2
Rather than limiting strategy to battlefield commands, the game ties real-time army movement to a yearly domestic phase. City taxes, population, autonomous administration, item allocation, and prisoner decisions sit alongside combat, creating a broader management structure than a battle-only strategy format.
What is Heroes of the Three Kingdoms 2?
This real-time strategy game combines annual domestic management with movement and combat on a strategic map.
Each January, controlled cities collect taxes; population growth raises revenue and the reserve-soldier limit. Search commands can discover officers, weapons, horses, military tokens, and other items, which may be assigned to officers to affect their abilities or loyalty. Cities can also use an autonomous order for searching and development, though discovered items remain hidden unless personnel are found.
On the map, armies travel between flagged cities and enter battles when opposing forces meet or invade a rival settlement. After combat, captured officers may be persuaded to join, executed, or released. The game includes background maps and CD audio tracks, and does not support windowed mode.
