What is 幻想三国志4?
Set about ten years after the first game, this single-player role-playing game combines a continuing fantasy storyline with Three Kingdoms history and returning elements from earlier entries.
The setting follows the aftermath of the Battle of Red Cliffs, when demons spread across China and large-scale hunts drive surviving creatures into hiding or rebellion. In 215 CE, Liu Bei, Sun Quan, and Cao Cao expand their influence while an unknown young man becomes involved in the unstable political and supernatural conflict. Battles use formations across a 3x3 player grid and a 5x3 enemy grid, allowing up to six player characters and fifteen enemies at once. Configured guardian beasts appear automatically in their assigned positions.
