Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking relaxed pacing may hit a wall when the city timer forces a return to the elevator.
- Players wanting permanent security for collected items may bounce off the risk of losing what Adam carries after a failed extraction.
- Players looking for a pure single-player experience may not want the mode built around confronting other players.
Our take on Hell is Others
The bounce point arrives when a city run becomes a race back to the elevator. Missing that window can cost the items in Adam’s pockets, while blood management and ammunition production add further pressure before the next descent.
What is Hell is Others?
Hell is Others is a top-down extraction shooter set in Century City, a perpetually dark urban nightmare.
Adam leaves his apartment to explore streets, hunt enemies, loot resources, and return by elevator before his limited time expires. Blood functions as currency and feeds the plants that produce ammunition. Apartment objects and appliances can be added to provide perks during city trips, while fertilizers alter the ammunition grown by the plants, including bouncing or silent rounds. The game includes confrontations with other players and a single-player mode in which The Things serve as enemies. Runs focus on entering the city, collecting supplies, managing the return trip, and risking the loss of items carried when extraction fails.
How Hell is Others plays
- 01Extraction runs
- Adam must find an elevator and reach his apartment before the available time ends, or lose items carried during the trip.
- 02Apartment upgrades
- Objects and appliances placed in the apartment grant perks that affect survival during visits to Century City.
- 03Custom ammunition
- Fertilizers change the properties of ammunition produced by the blood-fed plants, including bouncing and silent variants.
- 04Single-player mode
- A solo option replaces opposing players with The Things while retaining Century City exploration and its threats.
