Our take on Harmonis: the hand-made kingdoms
Instead of centering strategy on conflict, the game makes terrain arrangement and rebuilding its main structure. Its genre departure is the removal of battles: kingdoms develop through matching, freeform construction, collapse, and renewed creation.
What is Harmonis: the hand-made kingdoms?
Harmonis is a cozy puzzle-builder about creating living kingdoms from hand-crafted terrain tiles.
Match compatible landscapes, such as forest with forest and water with water, then use freeform tools to shape the world. The game includes more than 15 buildings and over 30 hand-crafted tiles, supporting different layouts and rebuilding strategies. Settlers chat, animals play, and player choices affect the developing mosaic. There are no battles. Kingdoms can be rebuilt repeatedly, either to refine an arrangement or to trigger a meteor storm and start again. The presentation combines textured artwork with lo-fi music and environmental sounds such as crackling fires, owl hoots, and placed-tile clicks.
