What is Hardland?
In 1018, an adventurer from Samarkand arrives in Hardland as its aging king faces threats from rival factions, imps, and mysterious beasts.
This surreal fantasy adventure centers on uncovering a kingdom-wide mystery through conversations, books, notes, item descriptions, dreams, and exploration. Quests have no markers or active log, so progress comes from noticing details and connecting clues. The open world includes towns, remote areas, hidden locations, more than a hundred unique NPCs, faction quests, and thirteen endings. Players can build relationships, use disguises, pick locks, trade or steal, dig for treasure, fight with a sword, and pursue activities in any order, including exploring dreams found through campfires.
