Our take on GUTS
The presentation foregrounds the game’s humor and combat gimmick, while the single-player scope is stated as 8+ hours for 18 endings. Online play is also identified as being in beta, making its status more limited than the broad multiplayer wording might suggest.
What is GUTS?
GUTS is a fighting game where victory requires removing all four limbs from an opponent and landing a final dismembering attack.
Fighters have no health bar; special attacks can sever limbs, while stage-specific hazards provide another way to dismember. Characters’ moves and special attacks change as limbs are lost, and U-Points can restore a limb or activate special moves. The game includes 9 characters, each with a story, plus 8+ hours of single-player content and 18 endings. Online matches are available in beta, alongside party modes, environmental interactions, fallen limbs used as weapons, unlockables, skins, videos, and a soundtrack that changes during matches.
