Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want permanent access to ammunition or a conventional reload system will hit the resource limit during gunfights.
- Players seeking a fixed campaign layout or fully persistent upgrades may bounce off the changing maps and expert mode's lack of carry-over elements.
- Players looking for a game built around hand-crafted levels may prefer a different structure.
Our take on Gunner-chan!
Players who rely on constant gunfire may hit the wall when ammunition cannot be refilled. Expert-mode players also lose all carry-over elements, making progression depend entirely on performance in the current run.
What is Gunner-chan!?
Gunner-chan!
is a 2. 5D top-down roguelike shooter set in a base taken over by robots. Each playthrough uses a different map. Guns can be found throughout the base, but ammunition cannot be reloaded or replenished, so the beam knife provides a close-range option when no gun is available. Weapons automatically aim at enemies within range, while dashing grants invulnerability against enemy bullets. Random gear upgrades the protagonist, and saved money can be spent on guns and gear at the store. Defeating a boss unlocks practice mode for that boss. Normal modes retain unlockable elements between runs, while expert mode removes all carry-over elements and relies on player skill.
How Gunner-chan! plays
