ActionIs Horde Hunters worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy bullet heaven roguelites and want mission objectives beyond surviving waves
- Players who prefer short runs, typically around 15–20 minutes, over long individual sessions
- Players who like building a party and choosing when to use consumable items during combat
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking slow-paced combat may find the focus on large enemy hordes and short action runs too hectic.
- Players who want continuous, fully manual weapon control may find the largely automatic firing restrictive.
- Players looking for a primarily story-driven adventure may find the run, build, and progression loop a poor match.
Our take on Horde Hunters
The game combines automatic firing with optional manual aim and pause-based item use, but its combat still centers on surviving waves. Players seeking continuous, fully manual combat may find that balance limiting.
What is Horde Hunters?
Choose from 9 characters and enter a map where weapons fire automatically, with manual aiming available for the primary weapon.
Runs combine fighting large enemy groups with missions, collecting loot, leveling up, and upgrading a build. Players can pause the action to use consumables, interact with buildings, trigger events, or hire party members. The game includes 14 maps with runs typically lasting around 15–20 minutes, plus 6 endless maps with global leaderboards and a custom weekly map. Procedural layouts, changing weather, and events vary the runs. Between runs, 25 runes affect the next attempt, while 40+ power-ups support permanent progression. Custom difficulty settings and adjustable game speed offer additional ways to set up a run.
