Our take on GROUND-UNBOUND
Instead of following a conventional route through each level, progression requires a leap from the world's edge. This unusual transition appears within a familiar roguelike structure of generated stages, permanent death, enemy groups, and upgrade choices.
What is GROUND-UNBOUND?
GROUND-UNBOUND is a procedurally generated movement shooter with retro wave visuals and roguelike mechanics.
Runs feature generated levels, large groups of enemies, and permanent death. Progression requires taking a leap of faith from the edge of the world. The arsenal includes SMGs, LMGs, ARs, and other guns for fighting zombies. Enemies can fly, shoot, sprint, or explode, requiring different approaches. Players can purchase abilities, chain them through a secondary system, and improve damage, movement speed, jump height, and health through skills. Resources can be spent across chests, weapons, abilities, and upgrades. The game began as a solo project made during the 7-Day BigFry Game Jam before its expanded Steam release.

Abyssus also combines shooting with roguelite progression, but its description features multiplayer action, hand-crafted levels, brine-powered weapons, and weapon refitting with ancient technologies. GROUND-UNBOUND instead uses procedurally generated levels, permanent death, movement-focused combat, and upgradeable skills and abilities. Hentai Vs Furries is a third-person shooter with an arsenal of guns, quests for skins, five camera angles, emotes, and a main mode, while GROUND-UNBOUND centers on roguelike runs and progression through weapons, abilities, skills, and chests.
