Our take on GrowRilla VR
The growth-based structure sacrifices a consistent pace: early sections emphasize hiding, climbing, and scavenging, while later sections shift toward direct destruction. Players looking for one sustained combat style may find the changing scale less focused.
What is GrowRilla VR?
GrowRilla is a VR action game combining stealth, survival, destruction, and shooting.
Players begin as a small gorilla that grows by eating food, using climbing and concealment to scout islands and evade soldiers. Enemy weapons, grenades, trees, buildings, and mountains can become tools for survival or attack. As the gorilla grows, the gameplay shifts from careful movement to large-scale combat against soldiers, tanks, and military leaders. Each playthrough uses a newly generated island, with additional game modes and content becoming available during progression. The game includes a locomotion system intended to reduce motion sickness and supports repeated runs with changing island layouts.
