Our take on Gregory Horror Show: Soul of Roses
The bounce point arrives after the first deaths: progress depends on returning to the fight-and-revive cycle, then building around absorbed enemy abilities. Players who prefer uninterrupted story progression or a fixed moveset may stop there.
What is Gregory Horror Show: Soul of Roses?
This 2D action game follows a zombie who wakes in Gregory House, a hotel in another dimension, without a memory.
After accepting a contract from the caretaker Gregory, the player fights runaway zombies while pursuing the character’s lost identity. The Soul Taker device extracts enemy souls, which can be consumed to adopt styles based on their abilities. Battles combine these Soul Styles with Memories to strengthen the character. Progress uses a repeated cycle of fighting, dying, reviving, and returning to the story. The game includes conversations with Gregory House’s inhabitants, plus two-player local co-op and online play through Steam Remote Play Together.
