Our take on Gravitators
The game trades straightforward shooting for demanding vehicle handling: gravity, fuel preservation, carrying heavy objects, and varied ship controls add friction to missions. This focus on piloting and navigation gives combat a narrower, more technical rhythm than a shooter centered on aiming alone.
What is Gravitators?
Pilot ships in a twin-stick shooter campaign across Earth, the Moon, asteroids, planets, exoplanets, outer space, wormholes, and black holes.
Missions combine combat with objectives such as escorting nuclear weapons, rescuing civilians and prisoners, hacking terminals, collecting samples, retrieving objects, and protecting targets. Gravity can pull in different directions or disappear, while clouds, gases, underwater areas, darkness, enemies, and other hazards complicate navigation. Four ships have different thrust, rotation, and weapon systems, requiring varied combat approaches.
Each mission has 12 awards that unlock 30 Power Ups and 30 Perks. Power Ups affect weapons, movement, hull, armor, shields, or abilities; Perks permanently change ship or human-object statistics. Difficulty can be changed during missions without affecting progress, and the game offers Easy and Hard settings.
