Our take on Goons: Legends & Mayhem
Instead of treating hockey as a straightforward sports simulation, the game turns goaltenders into boss encounters and assigns players combat-style classes. Its match formats retain hockey structure while adding hazards, special abilities, and beat ’em up action.
What is Goons: Legends & Mayhem?
Goons: Legends & Mayhem combines arcade hockey with beat ’em up combat across themed environments.
Players choose from eight characters in three classes: Sharpshooter for attack, Enforcer for defense, or Wingman for support and harassment. Multiplayer includes 2v2 matches against a goaltender and 3v3 games, with local co-op and online play. In story mode, goaltenders act as boss encounters that teach hockey techniques, while stages introduce environmental hazards and special mechanics. Solo players can defeat mascots, progress through stages, and face the Grand Mascoteer. Matches provide currency for shops, emote stickers, and character skins. Local multiplayer requires a controller.
