The focus on exaggerated combat and character gear trades away the conventions of a standard basketball game. Its modes center on local play, with Gauntlet adding a strict four-win run where one defeat ends the attempt.
What is Dunk Lords?
Dunk Lords combines two-on-two basketball with beat ’em up combat.
Players choose from 20 characters, each with distinct attacks and abilities, then compete on courts containing hazards. Dunks and blocks can grant additional special attacks, while scoring from shot pads provides bonuses such as money and extra points. Some shot pads enlarge players for oversized dunks. Equipment can modify abilities, including dunk range, ball attraction, and shots that cannot be blocked. Arcade Mode supports local games for 1–4 players. Gauntlet Mode supports 1–2 players attempting four consecutive wins, with a single loss ending the run. Story Mode follows Slice and friends in solo play or two-player cooperation.
