Is Glorious Companions worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Turn-based RPG players who want open-world exploration alongside tactical battles
- Players who prefer managing a group with recruitable troops, equipment, and skill choices
- Strategy fans seeking campaigns plus online or local PvP matches
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly linear RPG may find the open-world travel and multiple points of interest too diffuse
- Players who prefer short, self-contained encounters may not want campaign progression across nine regions, vaults, and companion development
- Players looking specifically for real-time stealth strategy may prefer a game built around that structure
Our take on Glorious Companions
Rather than confining tactical RPG encounters to a sequence of missions, the game places them within an explorable world of settlements, resources, camps, and vaults. It also extends the structure with two campaigns and point-limited multiplayer battles, combining campaign party management with wargaming-style matches.
What is Glorious Companions?
Glorious Companions is a turn-based tactical RPG set across the open world of Terscara.
Recruit troops from two factions, train and equip them, and develop their skills through branching choices. Travel across nine regions, visit settlements, gather resources, and investigate points of interest. Combat ranges from bandits and animals to vault guardians and legendary bosses, with equipment gained from merchants or defeated enemies. Two campaigns follow the search for vault crystals and the threat surrounding the Naalans. Each companion also contributes outside combat through camp activities and interactions with points of interest. The game includes point-limited PvP battles in online and local multiplayer, with the Valrenay and Scarre factions available.
