StrategyIs Glass Cannon worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy turn-based-feeling combat with carefully planned shots
- Roguelike fans who want randomized layouts and build experimentation
- Strategy players who prefer physics-based encounters over fast real-time shooting
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking rapid, continuously moving shoot-em-up action may bounce off the slower shot-by-shot pacing.
- Players who dislike difficult optimization may hit a wall when missed kills let enemies retaliate with health-based damage.
- Players looking for a large campaign may find the 24-round structure limited.
Our take on Glass Cannon
The bounce point arrives when a missed kill becomes incoming damage: players must account for limited ricochets, enemy health, and future targets before committing each shot. The 24-round structure also places a firm endpoint on the run.
What is Glass Cannon?
Glass Cannon is a physics-based roguelike built around deliberate shot planning.
Each round requires clearing every enemy, while missed enemies attack and deal damage based on their health. Bullets have limited bounces, so shots must be placed to reach as many targets as possible. Between rounds, earned money can buy weapons and upgrades. The 16 weapons cover different roles, including dealing damage, moving the player, and pushing enemies. Weapon mods and powerups can be combined to create builds. Runs use randomly generated enemies and obstacles, with 8 enemy types and 24 rounds that increase in difficulty and include loops.
