Our take on Gladia
Gladia puts weak-spot targeting and limb severing at the center of its first-person melee combat. Instead of presenting arena fights only as exchanges of damage, it lets attacks against vulnerable areas change opponents’ bodies, including splitting them in two.
What is Gladia?
Gladia is a first-person melee combat game centered on arena fights.
Players take the role of a slave who must obey an owner while seeking to survive and regain freedom. Combat involves finding enemy weak spots and attacking with different weapons; successful hits can sever limbs or split opponents. Arena Mode and VS Mode offer formats for fighting competitive AI. Players can improve their skills and gain support from spectators and the Emperor. Gladia is in Early Access and remains under active development. A single-player Story Mode is being created, and Steam multiplayer is in development.
