Our take on Geometry Hero
The game trades lasting run-by-run builds for repeated experimentation: skills and items vanish after each stage, while jewels preserve only permanent character improvements. That split supports quick tactical choices but limits the continuity of any single run.
What is Geometry Hero?
Play a single-player 2D action game built around platforming, hack-and-slash combat, and time attacks.
Each stage spans floors one through nine and ends with a boss; six stages are available, with an ending to watch after completion. Combat includes double jumps, attacks while airborne, and combo moves, along with skill choices that open after clearing stages. Skills and items are lost when a stage ends, while jewels provide permanent character improvements. New characters, movement abilities, and passive effects become available through selected stage, Silver Room, and Gold Room clears. Faster kills during time attacks produce more items, adding a speed-focused layer to stage runs.
How Geometry Hero plays
- 01Temporary Skill Builds
- Stage clears open selectable abilities, but chosen skills and collected items disappear when the stage ends.
- 02Permanent Character Upgrades
- Jewels gathered during play can be spent on lasting improvements for the player character.
- 03Six-Stage Campaign
- The available structure contains six stages, each progressing through nine floors before a boss encounter.
- 04Unlockable Content
- Selected stage, Silver Room, and Gold Room clears grant characters, movement abilities, and passive effects.
- 05Time Attack Rewards
- Defeating enemies faster during runs yields more items.
Geometry Hero compared to similar games
Geometry Hero centers on 2D platform combat, temporary skill combinations, permanent upgrades, and six stage-based runs. SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER is described as a runner with shooter elements, while Sonic Origins is a collection of four classic platform games rather than a single hack-and-slash campaign.
