Our take on GeoDepths
The store emphasis falls on planetary mysteries and the fate of previous explorers, but the described structure centers on drilling, resource processing, research, base expansion, and power management. Exploration provides the setting for that progression rather than replacing its management-focused core.
What is GeoDepths?
GeoDepths places players on a remote planet as a surveyor for an interstellar mining company.
A drill is used to travel underground, mine ores, and carry resources back to a cave homebase. Resources can be refined, scanned, and combined to research drill improvements and base construction. Drill upgrades affect speed, inventory, and maximum depth, opening access to additional resource types. The homebase can gain rooms, corridors, machinery, terminals, and decorations, while alien plants provide biomass for power. Cave exploration includes plant life, strange minerals, and mysteries connected to previous explorers. Research, resource management, power management, and farming support the mining and construction cycle.
