What is GEARS STORY?
GEARS STORY is a short novel game following Eshina, a mechanic in the war-torn Defensive Nation Melkid, and her imaginary friend Jeena.
After meeting the prisoner Teresha, Eshina is drawn into the nation's darker side. Progress is linear: there are no choices, branches, or multiple endings, and the story concludes in about 2–3 hours. Players choose locations to visit and complete daily work as a mechanic through a gear-maze minigame. Currency earned from this work can unlock helper features for solving more complex mazes. The game uses retro pixel art, includes achievements, and presents its English text through machine translation.
