Our take on Garrison: Archangel
Customization and multiplayer receive more attention than Missions Mode, which is presented mainly through its setting, faction choices, rewards, and unlocks. The overall presentation therefore foregrounds the breadth of combat options more than the structure of the single-player mode.
What is Garrison: Archangel?
Garrison: Archangel is a customizable mecha fighting game with one-on-one matches, team battles, and several modes against AI.
Players can alter an Archangel’s colors, components, weapons, alternate parts, paint patterns, and other cosmetics. Missions Mode places a mercenary pilot called a Ghost in the Baja Secunda conflict, with choices to fight or befriend factions, earn money and fame or infamy, and unlock additional content. Arcade, Survival, Horde, and Mission modes include ranking matches and objective-based encounters. Custom Game mode supports duels, deathmatches, free-for-alls, and survival matches with adjustable rules, teams, stats, and options. Local split-screen allows up to four players with controllers. Steam Remote Play allows online play with friends using one copy of the game.
