What is GameDevVR?
GameDevVR is a virtual reality simulation in which the player takes the role of a game developer working from a basement.
Game creation uses prepared stages that cover key points of development through completion, leaving out much of the tedious work. The player also balances making games with eating, drinking, and sleeping. Objects in the environment can be interacted with, including toys, food, and a computer. Movement options include zone-based locomotion, smooth movement, and teleportation, with snap turning available. The simulation includes a day-and-night cycle and uses SteamVR interaction support for compatible headsets and controllers. Finger tracking is available with some supported devices.
