Our take on FrostBound
The defining constraint is the winter’s one-turn lifespan for most units: each round requires choosing between attacking and repositioning, while only selected structures and sturdier warriors remain.
What is FrostBound?
FrostBound combines roguelike deck building with turn-based tower defense in an endless winter.
Players construct a base, manage resources, and defend a fortress from enemy waves that must not cross the leftmost defense line. Each turn offers a choice between attacking and positioning troops. The cold forces units to retreat after one turn, while structures and some warriors remain. The game includes more than 500 cards, four factions with distinct playstyles, 10 starting heroes with signature skills, over 100 upgradeable buildings, and more than 70 enemies. An elite card system provides progression within each battle. The setting follows a frozen civilization, divided factions, a mysterious old man, and hostile creatures as the player works to end the eternal winter.
