Our take on From Shadows
Rather than centering on a single hero, the game pairs a werewolf and vampire as its leads and adds local cooperation to a traditionally solo action-platformer structure. Its campaign also combines platforming with beat ’em up combat instead of following one format exclusively.
What is From Shadows?
From Shadows combines fast platforming with beat ’em up combat in a gothic dark-fantasy setting.
Players choose between a werewolf and a vampire, each backed by 12 upgradeable skills, then fight through 21 levels filled with 24 enemy types and large bosses. The game supports solo play and split-screen cooperation using keyboards, mice, or controllers. A day-and-night cycle shapes the presentation, while hand-drawn artwork and ominous music establish its hellish atmosphere. Players can submit scores to global leaderboards and pursue achievements. The campaign follows two unlikely heroes guided by Cornelius, a mysterious sage, as they confront demons and seek to defeat the ultimate evil.
