Our take on Frogun
The focus on level-based platforming and grappling-hook navigation limits the role of broader character progression systems. Two-player duel arenas add a separate activity, but the central experience remains Renata’s solo journey through the ruins.
What is Frogun?
Frogun follows Renata into the Beelzebub ruins as she searches for her missing explorer parents.
This retro-style platformer uses a frog-shaped grappling hook to navigate levels filled with levers, buttons, lethal traps, and enemies. Its settings include pixelated ruins, snowy peaks, and lava swamps. Players can race Renata’s rival, fight large bosses, find secret areas and shortcuts, and complete level challenges to collect emblems. Hidden diary notes reveal stories from other adventurers. Coins can be traded with a hatter for hats, bestiary entries, game art, and other items. A poseable photo mode and unlockable two-player duel arenas provide additional activities beyond the main adventure.
