We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want to command a superhero squad across mission-based scenarios
- Comic-book fans who want selectable and customizable heroes
- Players seeking LAN or Direct IP multiplayer for a superhero game
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking turn-based combat or deck-building systems may bounce off the real-time squad-command structure.
- Those wanting a narrowly focused campaign may find the roster, custom hero tools, and mission-based format too broad.
- Players without access to LAN or Direct IP connections cannot use the multiplayer mode.
Our take on Freedom Force
The bounce point arrives at squad management: players who want to control a single hero may lose interest when the game asks them to organize a team across more than 20 missions. The custom-hero option adds scope, but it also creates another system to engage with.
What is Freedom Force?
Freedom Force is a squad-based superhero strategy game set during an alien attempt to conquer Earth.
Players command a team of comic book heroes defending Patriot City against super-powered criminals created by Energy X. The roster includes more than twelve heroes, with options to create custom comic champions. The campaign spans over 20 missions, each taking place in an interactive 3D environment.
