Our take on Status One
Unlike many top-down tactical games that separate command from direct combat, this one combines both roles. The leader can issue orders remotely or enter the firefight personally, replacing a fixed commander viewpoint with a dual-role structure.
What is Status One?
Status One combines top-down shooting with squad command and RPG progression.
Players create a task force, train recruits, acquire equipment, and lead operations against crime factions across the country. The player character can join each engagement directly or command the squad remotely. Before a confrontation, players plan entry and choose how to use grenades, special gadgets, and other tactical options. Weapons, armor, gadgets, and grenades can be bought and assigned through loadout management. Recruits require training, pay, and equipment as the campaign progresses. Decisions shape the campaign, while dangerous shootouts make mistakes consequential.
