Our take on Fracture the Flag
Flags define the battlefield: they expand control, permit construction, and determine whether buildings remain standing when a flag is destroyed.
What is Fracture the Flag?
Fracture the Flag is a PvP-oriented real-time strategy game about expanding territory and conquering opponents.
Players gather resources, build an economy, place flags, construct buildings, and upgrade units, structures, and weapons. Each battle begins with units, structures, and weapons at base levels. Flags determine where buildings and units can be placed; when a flag is destroyed, buildings left without a nearby flag burn down. Workers can gather lumber, deliver bombs, or load siege weapons instead of having specialized roles. Players can use siege weapons and bombs against walls, flags, buildings, and economies. The game includes a growing set of single-player features, multiplayer matchmaking, global leaderboards, and a broadband connection requirement for multiplayer.
How Fracture the Flag plays
- 01Flag-Based Territory
- Players must place flags to control land and build structures or units within that territory.
- 02Flexible Worker Roles
- A worker can gather lumber, carry bombs, or load catapults rather than being assigned to one specialized task.
- 03Battlefield Upgrades
- Resources improve units, increase worker movement speed, and give siege weapons greater range, power, and accuracy.
- 04Siege And Traps
- Combat options include siege weapons, hand-delivered bombs, fire traps, and plague traps.
- 05Online Matchmaking
- Multiplayer uses a matchmaking service and tracks player progress and rankings on global leaderboards.
