Our take on Fortify
Fortify departs from a purely defensive tower-defense structure by making each player responsible for sending attackers as well as stopping them. Its multiplayer mode replaces automatic enemy arrivals with attacks chosen by the opposing player, linking offense and castle defense in the same match.
What is Fortify?
Fortify blends live strategic decision-making with tower defense.
Players guard a castle against creatures and siege machinery by placing close-combat and long-distance units alongside defensive structures and weapons. Progression moves from the Iron Age through the Medieval Age and finally to the Imperial Age, with each period adding improvements and fresh defensive methods. The Steam Edition offers two campaign maps, player-versus-player matches, an arcade challenge focused on enduring successive assaults, achievements, rankings, and dynamic illumination with shadows. In competitive play, opposing players dispatch the attacking creatures themselves rather than relying on automatic enemy waves. Success therefore depends on managing offensive deployments while maintaining the castle’s defenses.
