Our take on Forsake: Urban horror
The focus on repeated expeditions gives the game a clear loop of scouting, looting, and returning better equipped. That structure leaves less room for a story-led campaign or a wide variety of activities beyond exploring locations and completing missions.
What is Forsake: Urban horror?
Forsake is an online survival horror game for 1 to 4 players, with each player part of an urban exploration group.
Players choose up to 3 pieces of equipment before entering one of 6 prohibited locations, where they explore, search for loot, and complete missions while avoiding or confronting one of 7 entities. Exploration involves opening restricted areas with codes, mechanisms, and keys. Players can try to stay undetected or use equipment such as lightsticks to survive. Loot earns money for equipment, while experience unlocks maps and skills.
Each location varies through randomly generated map sections, items, and loot. Players can leave an exploration at any time and keep the loot they have collected. The game also includes bonus missions, a skill tree with perks, and in-game proximity voice chat.
