Our take on Forest Heroes
Its defining structure is a defense battle that runs from daylight into night while the deck and enemy pressure develop together.
What is Forest Heroes?
Forest Heroes combines base defense with roguelike deck-building in a corrupted forest.
As a guardian elf, players protect the Mushtower from continuous enemy waves while working toward a boss defeat that purifies the forest. Limited mana governs the deployment of animal allies and the use of mushroom-based skills. The deck develops from daylight into dusk and night as enemies become stronger: new animal cards can be obtained, hats add enhancement effects, and elf skill cards and Artifacts shape each strategy. Battles, node selection, and card drafting use the keyboard, with QWER and arrow keys controlling navigation and combat. The game presents a forest-defense campaign around rallying animal allies and improving the deck over time.
How Forest Heroes plays
- 01Base Defense Battles
- The Mushtower must withstand recurring enemies until their boss is defeated.
- 02Limited Mana
- Mana constrains when animal allies and mushroom skills can be used during combat.
- 03Deck Development
- Animal cards, elf skills, hats, and Artifacts provide different ways to shape the deck.
- 04Keyboard Controls
- QWER and arrow keys handle battlefield movement, combat, node choices, and card drafting.
Forest Heroes compared to similar games
