Is Foresight worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- RTS players who prefer strategic decisions over dexterity-heavy micromanagement
- Space-war fans who want to command large fleets with semi-autonomous officers
- Multiplayer strategy groups seeking battles for up to 8 players
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct control over every unit and constant hands-on micromanagement may hit a wall when logistics are delegated to automation.
- Players looking for turn-based pacing or small-squad tactics may find the large, real-time fleet battles too broad.
- Players who want a simple command structure may struggle once fleets, officers, reconnaissance, and positioning interact.
Our take on Foresight
The bounce point arrives when fleet logistics are handed to automation. Players expecting to personally manage each shipyard assignment, fighter allocation, and deployment order may find the delegated command structure too restrictive.
What is Foresight?
Foresight is a space-based real-time strategy game about commanding fleets of fighters, bombers, and ships through battles across wormholes.
Players can launch bombing missions, set fighter patrols, deploy observation posts, and use reconnaissance and fire support units. Fleet commanders provide reports, suggestions, and requests while semi-autonomous fleets operate under the player's overall command. Commanders and advisors gain combat experience, improve their statistics, and unlock abilities as they advance. Automation handles logistical tasks such as locating a suitable shipyard and deploying fighters or bombers to a capital ship. Battles support up to 8 players in single-player battles or multiplayer skirmishes, with intelligence, positioning, and fleet composition shaping engagements.
How Foresight plays
- 01Semi-autonomous fleets
- Fleet officers communicate through reports, suggestions, and requests while their forces operate under the player's command.
- 02Automated fleet logistics
- Ship requests can trigger shipyard selection, fighter or bomber assignment, and deployment to a designated vessel.
- 03Commander progression
- Commanders and advisors develop combat statistics and gain innate abilities as they advance.
- 04Intelligence operations
- Reconnaissance units can establish observation posts and fire support bases for battlefield information and positioning.
- 05Eight-player battles
- The game supports single-player battles or multiplayer skirmishes with up to 8 players.
